Outcome: Our prototype aims to help the hobby electronics and student community carry out their own projects without purchasing costly instruments like, oscilloscopes, power supplies and function generators.
Description: For any soldier, the most important tool is his army knife. It being a utility tool consisting of multiple functionalities, aids soldiers to handle any kind of hurdles that may arise in the wilderness. In a similar way, to any electronic engineer, designer or hobbyist, designing a circuit becomes unimaginable without the use of an oscilloscope, signal generator, and regulated power supplies.
Through our project EDAK, we aim to design a low cost PCB, consisting of signal generators capable of producing multiple functions (sine, triangular, square etc.) for testing circuitry, regulated variable power supplies for supply voltages of electronic circuits and a PC based oscilloscope circuitry to view the waveforms in a PC, all modules in one board.
We hope to see EDAK being a well-designed product in future, so that young designers get motivated to practically test their own electronic projects without being dependent on costly equipment as mentioned.
