Roboversity presents the Roboversity Animatronics Challenge - India's First Animatronics Competition in association with Techkriti'15 an annual technical symposium in India organized by IIT Kanpur.Animatronics helps provide edge of the seat action seen in modern day movies like Iron Man and Transformers! Also dubbed as 'robotic art', animatronics aptly uses mechatronics to recreate naturalistic movements of imaginary beings. The Roboversity Animatronics Challenge is a training-and-competition series that helps you learn technical skills and compete with students from across the country. The objective of the challenge is to help students develop an understanding towards innovative next generation technologies and techniques.
In the Animatronics workshop, students will design an Animatronic hand that simply mimics the hand movements of the person controlling it. Mechatronics experts from the Roboversity team will guide the participants to build the project from scratch using servo motors, flex sensors and Arduino microcontroller board.
